Suites and service
Silversea puts a butler in every suite, which is the strongest single argument for the line if service in the room matters to you. Regent starts butler service at the Penthouse level, but delivers more balcony square footage at the entry categories.
On a scenic itinerary such as Norway or Alaska, note that Silversea's Oceanview category has a picture window rather than a veranda. Private balconies begin with the Veranda category.

Food and evenings
Regent's Compass Rose offers the most flexible menu at sea and all of its specialty rooms are included in the fare. Silversea's dining is more varied in style, with only La Dame and Kaiseki charging a cover. As of 2026, Silversea only has buffet or pool grill service for lunch on port days.
Evenings differ. Regent is consistent and low key. Silversea varies by itinerary. On sea-day heavy voyages the entertainment is noticeably better, while the production shows on shorter port-heavy sailings are the weakest part of the product.
